Culture Connect is a consultancy specialising in unlocking the collaborative and international potential of the cultural sector; harnessing its ability to build bridges between people, institutions and countries.

We support cultural leaders and their teams and help identify, develop and deliver international partnerships and collaborative projects based on sound cultural and financial principles. Through our advisory services, we foster innovative and sustainable collaborative working practices that ensure organisations thrive in an increasingly complex globalised environment where business models, approaches to digital and partnership frameworks have to be re-invented.

Vision | OPen World, Open Mind

We believe in:

  • The transformative and connecting power of culture

  • The ability of the cultural sector to unlock collective intelligence and be a force for good which can offer original and innovative solutions to major contemporary global issues

  • The ability of a sound international engagement strategy to enhance one’s mission and offer clever ways to deliver its vision, making the most of the globalised world we live in

  • The necessity to equip cultural managers and diplomats with a better understanding of how culture functions in an international context and how local and global could work hand-in-hand

GENESIS

Culture Connect has been founded by Anaïs Aguerre after over 15 years of experience as a consultant and senior museum professional working in London, New York, Paris and Singapore. Anaïs contributed in particular to the successful development of the British Museum’s touring exhibitions programme, was instrumental in developing and delivering the pioneering international partnership leading to the creation of a new V&A Gallery at Design Society in Shenzhen and was behind the conception and development of the successful V&A International Training Courses for museum professionals from across the globe. Among Culture Connect’s first assignments, Anaïs worked as Project Director for the ReACH programme, a global initiative on the Reproduction of Art and Cultural Heritage spearheaded by the Victoria and Albert Museum in partnership with the Peri Charitable Foundation.

As part of Culture Connect’s mission, Anaïs champions the study of cultural diplomacy and culture as soft power in universities. She is notably a member of the Advisory Committee for the ‘MA on Cultural and Digital Diplomacy’ at UCSC in Rome, Italy where she teaches on ‘Cultural Diplomacy in Action’.
