The Australian Placemaking Summit on "Creating Better Cities" will take place from 3-4 May 2022.
The summit will draw together private and public architects, placemakers, urban planners, developers, engineers, contractors, policy-makers, building managers, and citizens to collectively shape and transform Australian regions and cities. It will explore the ins and outs of placemaking, unpacking how we realise the true value of placemaking; adopting a placemaking focus at the outset; and how to get stronger financial returns and focus on the commercial benefits of placemaking.
Specifically, the 2022 focus will be on setting the pace for placemaking in Australia; illustrating San Francisco's unique expressions of placemaking; placemaking strategy for the Sydney Fish market and the Quay Quarter Tower; placemaking from a New Zealand perspective; placemaking in Fishermans Bend; place management for Parramatta; placemaking after dark; new transport infrastructure across Sydney; Indigenous placemaking; and the Honeysuckle Placemaking Project.
