The international online conference Florence Heri-Tech: The Future of Heritage Science and Technologies is a part of the Florence International Biennial for Art and Restoration.
Heri-Tech is the first international conference to welcome major researchers and scholars from all over the world, focusing on current and future issues in the field on issues related to innovative techniques and technologies, bringing together prestigious institutions and companies with academic scholars. The 2020 edition will take place online.
Topics to be discussed will include future trends in conservation and restoration technology; advancement in damage assessment; applying technology to art conservation and restoration on archaeological sites; interactive methods and augmented reality for virtual exploration of cultural heritage; technologies for underwater archaeology; 3D modelling and 3D printing; virtual museums; 4D reconstruction of tangible cultural heritage; sustainable architecture for cultural heritage; and the impact of climate change on cultural heritage. There will also be a special session on European funds for cultural heritage.
