Family Arts Conference 2019 will focus on "Exploring the value of arts, culture and creativity for families".
As the UK's largest family arts and culture conference, the conference will explore the value of family engagement, with a full day of lively discussion, practical workshops, and informative keynote presentations with opportunities to network with fellow creative professionals. Keynote presentations will be given by Cheryl Taylor (Head of Content, BBC Children's), Syima Aslam (Artistic Director, Bradford Literature Festival), and Dr Zoe Wyrko (Geriatrician and consultant), alongside panel discussions on diverse family engagement, creating intergenerational experiences, inclusive approaches for family audiences in the cultural sector, outdoor arts for families, effective family marketing strategies, and building interactive experiences for parents and early years. Practical workshops include fundraising advice and support by Cause4, developing digital family engagement and gaming with the National Videogame Museum, and examining evaluation with Big Lottery Fund.
